About Mihkel Sülla

Farm work in Australia, a warehouse, photo editing, then photoshooting on cruise ships. Nobody trained me for design, so I taught myself. The detour is probably why I am comfortable with the tedious part: sitting inside a mess long enough to figure out what is actually wrong.

I like messy problems, useful products, and figuring things out from first principles. When something feels broken, it is usually not just a design problem. It is a mismatch between what got built and who it was built for.

I’ve worked on cybersecurity products, content systems, and shipped a combat sports app solo in three weeks. I also tend to wander outside the job description whenever something catches my attention.

The rest of it

That same curiosity is why I write production code, build my own products, and occasionally spend far too much time figuring out how search engines and AI assistants decide what is worth finding or citing. I like learning by getting my hands dirty rather than being told how something works.

I also build trading indicators on TradingView. SSL Hybrid and QQE MOD have over 30,000 boosts between them, and about 33,000 people follow my scripts.

In May I mentored teams at the Presidential Education Hackathon, where 25 teams spent 36 hours building AI tools for schools.

Outside of work, I’m usually doing something physical, planning a trip, building something, or trying to get back to Hiiumaa. I like good friends, sauna, being outdoors, and having enough freedom to decide what I do with my time.

None of this was particularly planned. I’ve just followed whatever seemed interesting enough to figure out.
